We use keywords everyday as we search the internet. Looking for a pipe fitter in Las Vegas? We go to Google, Yahoo or Bing.com and we enter the keywords “Las Vegas Pipe Fitter” into the search bar. A bunch of results related to our search term or “keywords” are returned to us within seconds.
Keywords are so important because you want to be one of those sites that are returned. Not just that, you want to be on the first page. Being on the first page will mean more traffic to your business, which should result in a lot more money for you.
Keywords are what help your potential client know that you are what they are looking for. If they type in “how do I hire a good pediatrician?” and your site comes up with that in the title. Yes, they will read more. That is the kind of connection that you want to have with your keywords.
Choosing the right search terms are also very helpful when using pay-per-click(PPC). Certain terms will convert into sales at a much higher rate than others. Which means that you can turn-off the words that aren’t making you money and expand upon those that are.
