Marketing on the internet is all about strategy.
When you first thought of starting a business or came up with a good idea that could make money – the process was just beginning.
- How would you get the right vendors?
- Who will you work with?
- When will this thing make me some money?
Someone won’t just walk up to you and say “Hey, here’s your business plan and all the contacts you’ll need, now go make money.”
Internet marketing is no different. There are a ton of websites that will offer you a “magic bullet” to success on the internet. You’ve seen the offers. Just sign up here to get email leads. They won’t mention it’s a crap list of non-targeted buyers.
Your strategy has to be well thought out. You need targeted buyers that look for you. Buyers that are on your email list because they feel you offer them value. What will that value be? Good question. Start there, because that will be a very large part of your internet marketing strategy.
Of course, you want to sell more, make more money, retire, etc. However online is similar to your offline process. They need to know you first. Make it easy for them. Ask yourself the following:
What can I offer that will start out or build a relationship of value?
- A report on your potential clients most frequently asked questions.
- A short survey to find out their needs.
- A video on how to use your product properly.
These are just a few suggestions to get you thinking strategy, versus throwing stuff at a wall and seeing what sticks.
